The open yacht segment has just welcomed a magnificent new standard of maritime elegance as the first Itama 70 officially touched the water at the Ferretti Group’s state-of-the-art production facility in Ravenna. The private launching ceremony was a deeply personal affair, centered around the owner and his family, who took center stage to celebrate a vessel that perfectly embodies the timeless intersection of nautical tradition, cutting-edge innovation, and a profound passion for the sea.

Itama 70 is a new expression of freedom at sea, retaining the distinctive features that have given the brand its iconic status, at the same time as introducing style and design solutions focused on creating an even more engaging cruising experience. The signature elements are the spacious sunpad in the bow, seamlessly integrated into the deck, and the side windows that run the length of the hull, contributing to the yacht’s sleek silhouette and establishing a strong visual connection with the water.

The main deck is designed to put the accent on socialising and comfort on board. At the stern, the movable beach area can accommodate and launch a 3.25m tender, while the spacious sunpad, an iconic feature of the Itama tradition, communicates directly with the dining area thanks to an integrated backrest that creates continuity between the various living areas.

The U-shaped dining area is completed by a table with a teak top positioned opposite the wet bar, which can be converted into a chaise longue by adding a cushion, creating the ideal setting for total relaxation at the water’s edge. This area is shaded by the electric bimini top with integrated lighting.

The helm station is located on the port side and features a bench seat that can comfortably accommodate two people. The console on this first unit features two 16-inch chartplotter touch displays, delivering technologically advanced but intuitive navigation control. To maximise fluidity of movement around the boat, access to the bow area is through a passageway in the centre of the windscreen, while the entrance to the lower deck is on the far starboard side.

The settings on the lower deck are inviting and elegant, balancing functionality, natural light and sophisticated materials. The layout features three cabins, including a master cabin aft, all with en suite bathrooms, as well as a corner galley and a cosy dinette designed to enhance liveability below deck.

The first Itama 70 is fitted with the optional engine package of two MAN V12 units rated at 1,550 hp, powering the boat to a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 35 knots (preliminary data). The yacht is also equipped with a Seakeeper NG14 gyroscopic stabilizer.
