Artisan’s designer solid wood furniture is found today in some of the world’s most prestigious restaurants, from New York and Paris to Milan and Helsinki, where design, handwork, and gastronomy converge to create a unique sensory experience

Artisan furniture is best understood through use: in dining rooms that spark conversation, in restaurants where dinner spans hours, and in spaces that invite us to slow down. In a world where luxury is increasingly measured by logos, volume, and speed, few brands remind us that true value is born slowly through hands, knowledge, and passion.

Artisan furniture never asks for attention; it simply keeps it

This visceral connection between the hand, heart, and mind is visible in every artisan, the master craftsman who transforms a designer’s vision into a unique piece of art. This is the essence of Artisan: sustainable, contemporary furniture crafted from natural materials, where authenticity remains the guiding thread of the entire creative process.

The workshop where the story begins

The Artisan story starts where most modern brands stop: in the workshop. Instead of industrial mass production, Artisan builds its identity on manual woodworking, precision, and meticulous attention to detail. Each piece undergoes dozens of stages, from the meticulous selection of timber to a finish that celebrates, rather than conceals, the wood’s natural texture.

While Artisan relies on manual labor, modern technology is not excluded. CNC machines and digital tools are utilized for precision, but the final word always belongs to the craftsman’s hand. Some pieces require more than 25 separate stages of production; every natural irregularity in the wood is carefully analyzed and often transformed into an advantage.

It is these natural variations that make each piece unique, a philosophy that aligns perfectly with the modern definition of luxury: not characterless perfection, but authenticity with a soul.

This philosophy has earned Artisan recognition far beyond regional borders, placing it in the interiors of luxury hotels, private residences, and world-class restaurants where the atmosphere is just as vital as the flavor.

Timeless elegance from New York to Paris

In recent years, Artisan’s presence in global gastronomic hubs has intensified through a series of prestigious projects that further emphasize the brand’s remarkable adaptability to diverse architectural visions.

Restaurant Daniel, led by Chef Daniel Boulud, has been a pillar of the New York fine dining scene for over three decades. This Michelin-starred Upper East Side landmark is synonymous with gala dinners and milestone celebrations. With artworks by James Rosenquist and coffered ceilings adorned with Bernardaud porcelain chandeliers, the space exudes timeless elegance. In this setting, Artisan’s Mela chairs, with their rounded lines and warm wood tones, integrate naturally, offering a sense of subtle comfort.

Across the Atlantic, in the Oberkampf district of Paris, Géosmine by Chef Maxime Bouttier offers a more modern interpretation. Set in a two-story townhouse, the restaurant retains the discreet charm of Eastern Paris.

The interior features the Naru and Neva collections, whose natural materials and serene lines complement the space's almost ascetic atmosphere, creating a seamless bridge between the architecture and the plate.

In Belgium’s Namur province, l’Essentiel, housed in a restored 17th-century tannery, blends historical character with an intimate vibe. Here, the award-winning Neva chair, with its sculptural solid wood form, provides a contemporary contrast to the romantic décor, accentuating the building's heritage.

At MODEST, a minimalist interior of clean lines and curated ambiance creates a sophisticated calm. In this environment, the Neva dining collection discreetly balances elegance and simplicity.

A standout project is found in Milan, atop the historic Medelan building, where HORTO by Chef Norbert Niederkofler marries gastronomy with sustainability. The interior speaks the language of nature, from floors made of recycled wine barrels to lime-plastered walls. For this space, Artisan created custom-made furniture, handcrafted to align with the restaurant’s zero-waste philosophy.

Design that mirrors a philosophy

Artisan’s dedication to wood as a noble, ecological material is a perfect fit for Helsinki’s Nolla, a restaurant dedicated to serving haute cuisine without disrupting the environmental balance. Models like the Latus table, Neva Light chair, and Neva bar stool become part of a larger narrative on sustainability.

A similar aesthetic can be found at Harvest in Saint Petersburg, where oak dominates the interior. The space features Neva and Neva Light chairs, alongside Latus, Jean, and Lakri tables, and the Latus sideboard.

The synergy between the Old and New World is particularly striking at the British restaurant Black Swan, located in a 16th-century building in Oldstead. Chef Tommy Banks’ bold, contrasting cuisine finds a natural partner in Artisan furniture, set against exposed beams and open fireplaces.

Back in the French capital, at Marsan par Hélène Darroze, the Mela chair was selected to enhance the artistic flair of haute cuisine, bringing a woody warmth that highlights the elegance of the 6th Arrondissement’s light-filled walls.

Modernist spirit meets architectural wonder at Germany’s two-Michelin-starred Ox&Klee, where Latus and Lakri tables, Neva chairs, and the Shift lamp overlook the Rhine marina. Similarly, Slovenia’s Hiša Denk, an oasis on the wine road, is elevated by Naru chairs, Lakri tables, and Tesa sideboards.

The Artisan signature also reaches Miami Beach, where Milla incorporates Naru and Neva Light chairs, the Pivot table, and Neva Light bar stools into its minimalist interior. Meanwhile, in the Dominican restaurant Ajuala, the Caribbean spirit is grounded by Tesa chairs and sideboards, complemented by Latus and Neva Light bar elements.

Quality born of patience

Artisan’s collaboration with Michelin-starred restaurants is no coincidence. It is the result of years of dedication, word-of-mouth recommendations, and a reputation built quietly but consistently. While the brand doesn't lead with its accolades, the trust of these renowned partners confirms that Artisan understands high standards and knows how to deliver them.

In the world of design, where trends are fleeting, such a reputation holds long-term value.

While many brands pivot toward quick fixes and mass production, Artisan remains true to its own rhythm. Because, much like world-class gastronomy, true quality is not born overnight. It is built slowly, piece by piece.
